We go the extra mile for you

Our team at Heritage of Salisbury Volkswagen have recently been praised by a very happy, and relieved, customer. Last week, a lady - who wishes to remain anonymous - found herself being called into hospital so she could be with her mother who is in palliative care. At this stage, time was very much of the essence.

On her way to the hospital in Salisbury, the customer's car cut out, setting off a warning light. Limping into Heritage of Volkswagen Salisbury on a soaking wet January afternoon not knowing what to do next, the Service Team were on hand to help.

The team sprang into action. Master Technician Chris Wootton was responsible for diagnosing the fault. Jody and her colleagues, Dan and Tony, quickly adjusted their workloads and arranged a lift to the hospital for our customer. Time was ticking and tensions rising, but half an hour later, the faulty part had been identified and a loan car was sourced to keep the customer mobile while her car was out of action.

The next day, the part arrives and was fitted. The car was returned to a very happy owner, and all covered by Volkswagen's Warranty.

Aftersales Manager, Jason Ahl, commented: “We were overwhelmed by the card and gift, we were doing as we always strive to do – deliver meaningful, timely, quality service to one of our loyal customers”  We were really pleased to be able to help. Testament indeed to the Aftersales Team and Heritage VW Salisbury."

The team at Salisbury were later greeted with a thank you card - and a box of chocolates - from the customer. Everyone was incredibly grateful and only happy to help a person clearly in need. In the card, the customer writes: "Thank you very much for all your help and understanding yesterday. I really did appreciate your thoughtfullness on taking me and picking me up from the hospital."
